PAWS does NOT have a clinic, office nor shelter therefore we are NOT able to take in animals. Our main focus is on trying to sterilize as many animals as possible and support people that do take in animals for re homing.

The following positions are open to all volunteers that are willing to help out - as always your time and effort is greatly appreciated in any capacity available.
 
COMPOUND REPRESENTATIVES

Are you able to be a PAWS compound representative?

Do you have a good rapport with your compound management team?

Are you able to get along with other residents?

Can you work in any capacity, big or small, from putting up flyers to organizing events?

Anything you are comfortable with, would be great.

Compound reps mostly help guide others towards the correct people to contact with animal concerns so if you are able to keep a list of PAWS active members by the phone you are already half way there!

Garage Sale Coordinator

Do you live on Aramco?

Are you able to answer calls from people wanting to donate goods?

Then this is the job for you!!!!

PAWS is looking for someone with a lot of enthusiasm and a passion for others  pre-loved treasures.

In your role of garage sale coordinator you will:

  • Take calls from people wanting to donate goods and help direct them to their local drop of point

  • If items need collecting you will also guide them to the closet people to call that will come and get their goods

  • Selecting the dates for the garage sales

  • being there to oversea the events of the sale

  • Reminding paws members of sale dates and calling in volunteers....all of this is provided on a list with volunteers names email & or phone numbers already printed out for you.

Sales and goods are held at Baker house on Aramco.

Pet Escorts to America and Canada Needed

Are you traveling to America  or Canada?  Would you consider accompanying a cat as a Pet Escort to assist in rehoming?

All expenses for the cat would be paid and the adopter would be waiting to pick the cat up at the other side. We need people that fly out of Saudi to help see that the cats safely get from KSA to USA and Canada.

If you think your cat might be a Mau or Mau mix and it is in need of rehoming, we invite you to contact us for possible posting on our Mau website. Please see our website at www.emaurescue.org for more information about our charity which rescues and re-homes Egyptian Mau cats, and Mau mixes. These spotted cats are believed to be descendents of ancient Pharonic times. Our rescue group, although based in Cairo, is working with the local animal welfare group PAWS. If you think you have a Mau or Mau mix cat that needs rehoming, please contact us.

 Through our special "pet escort" scheme we are now able to send animals to anywhere in the US and Canada - depending on availability of volunteers.

The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals. go to their site and click on "feed an animal in need" for free.  It's in a purple box in the middle of the page.  Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising.
